4/22 Breakfast / Thoughts

So I read the first little bit of the Paleo Blueprint and I can see some things that seem like a good idea, some things I have no clue about whether or not they are a good idea, and some things that seem like a bad idea.

I do understand the idea that we should eat more like our predecessors - our bodies have adapted to eat what we find in nature, not something that comes from a chemical compound, so I get that. I kind of understand the idea of no grains, since we have to cook them for them to become palatable and digestible. I even understand eating lots of meat and lots of veg, because that's what would have been available to most people. What confuses me so far is the idea of moderate exercise as opposed to rigorous exercise. I think I've got to read a little more to understand what he's saying. Other than that, the only thing that seems like a really bad idea for me personally is the idea of loading up on animal fats. I don't think he's writing this for people who are having gall bladder problems, and that's ok - can't write for all contingencies. I understand where he's coming from, though. Still, I think I'll need to read more about what he thinks is true.

I'm going to work again today, so I don't know if I'll want to bring another Luna bar with me, or if I'll need to get something with a bit more substance. I am not sure if eating a couple small meals and then one big one is a good idea, or if I should try to eat more medium sized meals frequently. People do tend to be grazers...

I dunno, this is my problem. I think that there is too much conflicting information about there when it comes to health. I understand that everyone is different, but even if you try to do a good thing, you can wind up hurting yourself.

Anyway, breakfast:

Luna Bar - 5g fat
OJ - 0g fat
